In 1996 she led the United States to a Gold Medal at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, a feat she repeated in 2004 in Athens, Greece. She has been featured around the world as a spokesperson for Nike and has played and celebrated 192 games with the US Women’s National Team, one of which was the game played in front of 90,000+ people at the RoseBowl vs China in 1999 when her winning PK clinched the World Cup title. Her celebration has been seen around the world and still resonates today as a pivotal moment in the history of sports.
