Former CNN Headline News anchor and Las Vegas-based keynote speaker and emcee Bob Losure focused on the increasingly polarized TV news business that Donald Trump has labeled "fake news" in a wide ranging panel discussion in 2017, in Las Vegas.
At a luncheon of the Las Vegas Public Relations Society of America chapter, the blue chip panel of journalists featured executives from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, KLAS-TV, NPR, and Mr. Losure.
Later in 2017, Bob keynoted to a capacity crowd at the Las Ventanas Lecture Series, with stories of his interviews with Ted Turner, Donald Trump, and CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite among others. In his speech and in the Q&A session that followed, Bob sized up the White House press corps and cable news operations that are "spinning" their stories to fit their political objectives.
Mr. Losure is busy these days hosting trade shows, conventions, product launches, and panel discussions for firms including Officemax and RadioShack at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, the Mercedes-Benz Concours d'Elegance at Amelia Island, Florida, and the Las Vegas Chamber's annual 'Preview' event at the Thomas and Mack Center.
In 2016, Bob hosted a black-tie Performance Awards Gala for 700 members of the global hedge fund industry in New York City and also moderated a 75-minute session with America's famous married political odd couple, strategists James Carville and
Mary Matalin, before a sold-out crowd of 500 at the Industrial Asset Management Council Convention in New Orleans.

There's Jim Stovall, a colleague of Bob's in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who went from the highs of training for the Olympics in perfect health, to the deep despair of blindness in his early 20's. There's retired Colonel Lee Ellis, who bravely held on for five years in a North Vietnamese prison camp before being freed. And Pat Williams, the Senior VP of the Orlando Magic, who gives his insights to Bob on going beyond the adversities of life to build a road map to achieve your dreams. - The Time of My Life
A former CNN anchor remembers Ted Turner” - Bob talks about the life lessons he learned in working for Ted Turner, and how much Turner's own courage in the face of personal and financial disaster has given Bob some valuable insights into never giving up. Bob explores the early days of CNN in an old 4-story community building when Bob saw Ted making his noctural visits from his top-floor apartment to the CNN cafe in the basement of the old 4-story building. Bob then takes a look at what the past 30-plus years have done to build on Ted's dream of worldwide cable news around the clock from the beautiful CNN Center. - A 29-Year Cancer Survivor Looks Ahead
Bob Losure takes a look at the memorable cancer survivors and notable legends he's met since his original cancer diagnosis in 1985. Bob talks about how CNN reached out to hire him when he was at his lowest point to put him back in the anchor chair and allow him to regain his news career at CNN. Bob lets the audience in on speaking privately with legendary CBS newsman Walter Cronkite, his friendship with three-time cancer survivor and CNN colleague Don Harrison, and his hopes for the future. Bob also speaks of the lighter times he remembers, when “live” TV news often goes awry, and the punch lines from “Anchorman 2” become reality! - Overcoming Fear, Risk, Adversity and Change
From a journalist's perspective, Bob looks at the recent terrorist attacks including the massacres of journalists and cartoonists at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, and why radical Islamists are pushing the media to re-think how far it goes in the satirization of religions as well as terrorist organizations. Are CNN, MSNBC, and The New York Times bowing to pressure from potential terrorists or invoking “good taste” in not showing cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammad from the Charlie Hebdo magazine? Bob probes that question. - Moderating and Interviewing
