FEE RANGE: Inquire [FEE NOTE]
TRAVELS FROM: New York
Foreman was ranked the No. 1 challenger by the WBA and WBC and after many amazing wins and defending his title of champ at the world heavyweight championship, Foreman lost by decision to Jimmy Young in Puerto Rico in 1977. He then gave up boxing and became a born-again Christian. He was ordained a minister and began preaching. In 1984, he founded the George Foreman Youth and Community Center. At age 44 he returned to boxing and became the oldest fighter ever to win the heavyweight crown. Foreman retired from boxing in 1999 and discovered his talent for salesmanship. He was soon making millions off of infomercials marketing the George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine. In 2007, Foreman joined ABC’s reality show, “American Inventor,” as a celebrity judge. His 2007 book, God in my Corner, details his journey from thug life to leading his congregation as a minister.
