Ben Glenn
“The Chalkguy”
Ben Glenn struggled with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) throughout his formative years, ultimately finding it impossible to stay interested in school and leaving following his junior year in college. Although his ADD caused him to struggle academically, it proved to be a perfect companion in his career as a performer, creator, and educator. Rather than let it hold him back, he chose to be inspired by his condition. He uses it as a tool for writing, speaking, and making videos focused on ADHD and personal development. Ben’s corporate, educational and faith-based programs are energizing and unique. Each program is completely customizable to fit your space, goals, event and audience.
Ben Glenn has been speaking professionally since 1995. With two decades of experience, his charisma and energy have allowed him to gain the confidence and understanding that is essential to connecting with an audience. He specializes in motivational speaking for corporate, educational, and faith-based events.

Ben’s speaking engagements began spontaneously after his short-lived collegiate career when he was presented with the opportunity to tell his story at small church camps and conferences. He has since expanded his outreach by working with students, teachers, and speaking at corporate events. Ben is the published author of seven books and the founder of Chalkguy’s LEGO drive project.
When he isn’t working, Ben enjoys fishing, boxing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He credits his daughters for helping him overcome his fear of speaking to elementary age children.
Ben’s programs are energizing and unique. Each program is completely customizable to fit your space, goals, event and audience. Generally Ben will start out with an introduction, and then move into his Speedscaping. Speedscaping is a fast-paced, large-scale landscape created in front of the audience using chalk and a black 6 x 8 foot canvas. Ben will then utilize the drawing to wrap in your chosen message. Please allow a minimum of 25 minutes to draw and speak, but Ben is most comfortable with a time frame of 45-60 minutes.
Ben prides himself on being prompt, professional and cheerful in all interactions. His team will ensure all details are communicated and handled ahead of time, meaning no stress and no surprises.

- Are You Seeing The Bigger Picture?
Sometimes, the small, boring, menial tasks we face on a daily basis can be a huge mental stumbling block in our pursuit of success. Why? Because they remind us (and sometimes rightfully so), that we are capable of much greater things and can handle a lot more responsibility. Here’s the catch though, if you’re really preparing yourself to be a leader, to live a life of influence, to become that person that others respect and listen to, you’ll need to learn how to do two things really well: 1. Look at the bigger picture and 2. Learn how to serve others. - Failing with Heart
Through his experience working as an entrepreneur with ADHD, Ben has learned a great deal about handling failure. He knows that failure can be essential to success, so long as it is approached with the right attitude. In this message, Ben shares stories of personal disaster to demonstrate the importance of perseverance. He emphasizes the significance of having faith in oneself in spite of being faced with challenges and failure. - Understanding the Peaks and Pitfalls of ADD in Real-Life
Ben gives personal insight to the inner-workings of a person’s mind who struggles with ADD/ADHD. He provides the audience a new perspective on this condition and establishes that the most challenging people in a situation can turn out to be the most successful. - The Power of Encouragement
Being a positive influence in another person’s life is one of the greatest things you can do for someone and is an essential skill for any leader. In this program Ben shares seven ways in which you can be an encourager to your staff, students, family or employees. - Put Your Heart Into Everything You Do!
If you want to be enthusiastic, act enthusiastic, Dale Carnegie is credited with saying. What I get out of that is that we shouldn’t wait for our external circumstances to dictate how happy or satisfied we are going to be in our day-to-day lives. We have to make a decision to embrace life, to pour our hearts into every minute of our day, even if sometimes we don’t feel like it. - From Special Ed to Simply Special
This message details Ben’s personal story of being diagnosed with a learning disability in the 3rd grade. It follows the line of struggles and triumphs that came after his diagnosis and how he learned to overcome those challenges and appreciate himself in the process. This inspiring presentation can be tailored to any audience and works for all ages. The presentation is especially applicable for student groups; Ben weaves specific issues plaguing a student body into his own childhood experiences of unpopularity and teasing. Common themes include bullying, suicide, academic achievement, drug prevention, teamwork and leadership. His goal is to teach students to approach challenges with a positive attitude and view each struggle as a learning experience.
