Frank Miles
Comedian, Acrobat, Juggler, and Magician Who Demonstrates How “Laugh at Fear”
Having thrilled Las Vegas audiences for over a decade with his amazing feats, Frank Miles found himself with some unexpected new material. Pronounced dead after a hang gliding accident, he was revived by EMS technicians-and found himself facing the greatest challenge of his life. Using the skills of a masterful circus artist, Miles creates a hilarious, refreshing and one-of-a-kind presentation that gives audiences courage to face their most frightening challenges-and reach their most treasured goals. By demonstrating how to confront change and its accompanying stress, Miles leads audiences to a recognition of their true priorities-and teaches them that courage isn’t facing death, it’s facing life. His death-defying visual metaphors and breath-taking dexterity illuminate life’s simple truths-and break down the self-imposed limits that are barriers to achievement and happiness.
Frank Miles discovered he had a knack for entertaining people at a young age. Passing on a scholarship to work as a street performer, Frank knew he had found his dream, even though his parents were less than thrilled! The bright lights of Las Vegas followed shortly thereafter.
Eventually, Frank began to feel afraid of letting people down, of chasing his dreams, and of giving up the security of a good job. He started to turn to high-risk activities such as rock-climbing (without ropes or gear) and hang-gliding to give him that feeling that he believed had been missing from his life.
In an event that has shaped his life dramatically, Frank suffered a horrifying accident while hang-gliding. He was injured badly, and his heart actually stopped for over a minute while in the emergency room. To no one's surprise, Frank battled back and eventually made a full recovery. The 14 inch scar on his chest is a constant reminder of just how lucky he is to be alive.
Once Frank had made a full recovery, and equipped with some newfound perspective, he took to the stage using comic monologues, music, magic, and juggling to create a show full of laughs and thrills. He wanted to drive home the lesson that the only sure bet in life is that if you don't try, you will fail.
The response has been incredible. Frank Miles is now a highly sought-after speaker-entertainer. He has performed his keynote presentation "Laugh at Fear!" for delighted audiences as large as 15,000 people, oftentimes ending with standing ovations and people going home with a big smile on their face.
Remember - true courage is not facing death in daredevil pursuits, but to face life head-on every single day!
