The way in which we communicate with consumers has drastically changed with the arrival of online and mobile social media. Every year, more and more social networks, apps, and technologies emerge—and hundreds of thousands of new users join them each day. Though it may seem daunting, each new social outlet is a new opportunity to connect with the people who buy your products and interact with your brand regularly. Execute your social strategy correctly, and you can optimize your existing customers’ experience with your brand, and bring new customers to the register. But where should you start?
The Supermarket Guru Social Media Symposium is a comprehensive, one-day workshop designed to help food companies and food retailers win in the social arena. Led by Phil Lempert and his team of social and mobile experts, the half-day symposium will leave you with an improved understanding of what can be done NOW to start putting your social media to work in order to generate new customers, increase transaction sizes, and inspire brand loyalty. Lempert and his team combine expert knowledge with real-world case studies of social successes and failures to paint a broad picture of what’s available to retailers today. This symposium constructs a foundation of basic knowledge of networks such as Faceboook, Google+, Twitter, and FourSquare, on which to build a complete understanding of how consumers are using these technologies to decide what to buy, and where to buy it. It is the time to take advantage of the tools available, and kick start your social strategy. - Changing Choices: A Look at the Retail and Consumer Marketplace
There is a new face in retailing and consumer products—and buyers are loving it! The "category busters," like Home Depot, Trader Joe's and Wal*Mart and the thousands of new choices in consumer products focused on health and wellness have changed the landscape forever. In the rapidly shifting space, what is successful and why? What retail formats are growing and which are declining? What are the next category busters to come and what is the next trend ahead in the consumer product space? Are supermarkets and mass retails on the path to becoming tomorrow's dinosaurs? One of the world’s most respect consumer trend experts who the media consistently turns to in reviewing and previewing new products and services, Phil Lempert reviews key consumer factors that will lead your business to the next retail opportunities. - Trend Watch: The Future of Your Business
